The Help Center is a satellite of Second
Harvest Food Bank serving persons in the 37072, 37080 and
371890 zip code area.
Emergency assistance is available to persons in the 37072 zip
code for food, clothing, household goods and financial aid for
utilities, prescriptions, transportation and education.
The Expressways to Learning computer
literacy program is offered to children and adults in low-income
families.
The General Store is a place where families
can come in every six months and shop free. Dollar
General Corporation donates all of its floor samples to make
this center possible.
The Thrift Shop allows those in need to take
articles of clothing every six months. (Thrift shop is also open
to the public)
At Christmas GHC provided food boxes to 80
families ($1,908.80). Also provided a Christmas
Store stocked with new toys, books, jewelry, candy and Christmas
decorations that were provided by individuals and
business. 51 families shopped for 137 children at no cost
to them.

sought help for the first time, 67% were in
Davidson County, 25% lived in Sumner County, 1%
lived in Robertson County and 7% were homeless
or transient. |
